Occupation: Link could pursue many fields, but he never gets a
break from saving Hyrule

Personality:
Not much has ever really been revealed about Link's personality.
He's courageous, brave and valiant and is always ready for a fight. In
fact, he fights so much, he doesn't know how to act in other situations
and is therefore kind of dull and may feel out of place at large social
gatherings., although he is certainly good-natured. No one besides the
few people Link is close to have ever heard him speak. Usually his
facial expressions reveal his emotions. He generally keeps to himself,
and must have total trust in someone before he will tell them much of
anything.
History (condensed):
Link lives in the land of medieval Hyrule. He was raised by the Korkiri
when he was little but later found out that he is actually a Hyrulian.
He possesses one of the three fragments of the holy Triforce, the
Triforce of Courage. This only adds to his already brave nature. He has
saved Hyrule from the Gerudo thief Ganon many times and never seems to
get a break. He is linked (no pun intended) to Princess Zelda, who holds
the Triforce of Wisdom, through his adventures, and she may be Link's
love interest (at least that's what I think). Ganon holds the Triforce
of Power and will not stop scheming until he claims Hyrule for himself.
The fragments of the Triforce have granted all three holders eternal
life, but that is only so in Hyrule.
Background (how Link came to the MDb world):
As usual, Ganon was up to no good and was causing trouble all over
Hyrule. He had found a way to infiltrate Hyrule castle and had taken the
royal family and Princess Zelda hostage, holding them in a state of
hibernation. It had been a trap set up for Link. Ganon knew he would
come, trying to be the hero. Link did come, and Ganon used his magic to
send Link into the state of hibernation. Something went wrong, though,
and Link ended up in a parallel dimension, the MDb world. This was an
added bonus for Ganon. Link's only wish is to get back home so he can
stop Ganon again.

SPECIAL SKILLS
Attack 1 - Master Sword:
Link's main weapon is the Master Sword. The Hyrulian blade is said to
have special powers and has helped Link defeat Ganon time and time
again. It was forged ages ago by the ancient sages and is very tough and
reliable. Link is never without it and he carries it on his back when
he's not using it.
Defense 1 - Hylian Shield:
Just as Link always has the Master Sword, he also always has his Hylian
Shield. This shield is the standard issue to Hyrulian soldiers and is
very strong and withstand most attacks, although it cannot defend Link
against magic.
Fighting Style:
Link fights with his weapons and gear. He will do whatever it takes to
win in battle. He is very acrobatic and can perform back flips, lunges,
jumps and all sorts of moves. He is a master with his sword and shield
and an excellent shot with his bow as well. He never gives up during a
fight and is a formidable opponent. He usually fights fair, but he
doesn't always. If the situation is desperate, he will strike opponents
from behind or when they are down.
Attack 2 - Fairy Bow:
Another one of Link's trusty weapons is his Fairy Bow. Link has three
types of arrows for it. There are Fire Arrows, which are the main arrows
he uses and they scorch whatever they come in contact with. Ice Arrows
are chilling and will freeze any living creature that Link shoots them
at. The most powerful type of arrow is the Light Arrow, given to Link
from Princess Zelda. They use magic and create a great deal of damage
for his opponents. Link is an exceptional shot. In fact, he NEVER
misses. He's that good.
Attack/Utility 3 - Hookshot:
Link also carries around a hook shot. It has a retractable chain inside
with a sharp, grappling point on the end. When Link pushes the trigger,
the chain snaps out very fast and hooks onto just about whatever it
touches. Link can use this to get to higher places and across gaps, but
he can also use it in battle. If he shoots it at his opponent, they will
be entangled in the chain and pulled right up to Link.
Attack 4 - Bombs:
Link carries an infinite number of bombs in his bomb bag. He can pull
them out very quickly, light the fuse in a second, and throw them at his
target. They are very powerful and perfect during battle. He can also
use them to blow up obstacles.
Defense 2 - Nayru's Love:
One of the spells Link acquired in his adventures, this one will put up
a temporary crystal-shaped force field around Link, making him
impervious to attacks of any sort. This will wear off after a short
amount of time and afterwards, Link will be stunned for a second or two.
Defense 3 - Farore's Wind:
Link will never back down from a fight, but if he is forced to flee for
any reason, he has Farore's Wind at his disposal. Another spell he
obtained in his adventures throughout Hyrule, this one allows Link to
transport to another location far away. The only catch is, he doesn't
know where he is being teleported. That, of course, is up to the writer.
Special Attack: - Sword Slash:
Link holds his sword out and spins his whole body in a circle, creating
a large radius of slash damage. This is Link's Up+B move in Super Smash
Bros., so I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about. |
