Name: Insaney (AKA Cyborg 10, The Insane Space Hunter,
Insano... nobody actually calls him Insaney to any extent, though) Other Info: Home Planet: Earth.Family: Psychopathic Space Hunter (twin cyborg), Oh Heck (his replacement), SimBen (deceased), SimBen 2 (alive, often mucks about with ISH because he's got nothing better to do and the parties are good) Friends: Outerverse, Fero, Samus Aran, Ffej, other assorted BOTP-ers Rivals: None, but like I said, Kane has other ideas. Enemies: Nobody in particular Transportation or lack thereof: A beat-up YT-1300 freighter named the Quest of Insanity. Oh Heck owns the same ship under the name Quirk of Ingenuity, though one (or the other) of them is an estranged copy created by an evil entity for a temporary resting place while it recuperated from a battle with Oh Heck. The Quest was theoretically destroyed at one point, but interestingly enough, it turned up again during BOTP4. Kane, ISH's twin brother, owns a similar ship named the Quotient of Instability. The Quirk and the Quotient are both outfitted with heavier weapons than the Quest, but lack the all-knowing computer system created due to the ship's never-ending adventures through time and space. The computer, formerly located in the Hunter's dimension-spanning deranged mind, happily uploaded itself into its former home, the Quest, having gotten tired of 'borrowing' ISH's voicebox. It still makes its presence known, however. Background: I've said it before and I'll say it again. Read The Adventures of The Insane Space Hunter... or at least Chapter 4. ISH-O-Vision Color: tomcat Character Skills: A walking goofball. His knowledge of martial arts and weaponry is astonishing, though nobody really knows because he never really deals with such things. He's also exceptionally good at repairing starships and other miscellaneous pieces of equipment, even weapons, though weapons aren't his strong point. Top-notch pilot, gunner, and combat expert...He's so out of tune with his abilities, it makes one wonder how many times his brain flipped over during hyper-transit through dimensions. His weapon of choice is a pistol (carried in a shoulder sling), the fabled Mighty Stinger. Having picked up the new model at some point during BOTP4, this weapon is about the size of a Walther PPK and fires superpowerd bolts of coherent light. Well, actually, only one bolt--after one shot, the weapon must be reloaded. However, since it dumps all the power from one blaster cartridge into one shot, it also packs more of a punch than does any other blaster weapon on the market, short of perhaps a tank-mounted swivel cannon. He also carries a rocket launcher while in his power armor, as well as a less-powerful pistol that has the upside of being able to shoot more than once per loading. Other equipment includes: extra rockets, a copy of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a pair of chopsticks, and a sock puppet. His cybernetic "shell" of skin and bone has been largely modified over his career, leaving most of his bone structure duranium alloy-enhanced, especially his skull, which is completely indestructible. Oh, yeah, his suit of power armor like unto that of the great Samus Aran.Character Stats: Regular Special: Rocket Launcher: It's a rocket
launcher, dingbat. It hurts. A lot. While it's not in use, it's
always slung across the back of his power armor (regardless of whether
or not he's wearing it). Pictographic Visualization: Well, first off, DamnGlitch (with us in spirit if not
in killing each other off) has provided me with some bitchin' character
art for ISH. Having the artistic skills of a brain-dead squid that's
been hit by a lawnmower and run over by a Mack truck, I could never have
done so myself... so thanks go out to him. ![]()
